The Lourdes Football Program won their home opener of the 2011 season with a 33-13 victory against visiting Winona Cotter on Friday September 16th.  The leading rusher for Lourdes was Griff Slightam with 103 yards on 14 carries.

The scoring started for Lourdes in the first quarter with an 30 yard touchdown run by Sean Griffin. Griff Slightam added an 8 yard touchdown run in the second quarter.  The second half scoring started with a Connor Nellans 1 yard touchdown run.  Kane Carstens added a 20 yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. The scoring rounded out for Lourdes in the fourth quarter with a 15 yard touchdown run by Thomas Elwell.

The Lourdes defense played allowed 149 yards passing and 67 rushing yards by Winona Cotter.

Lourdes will Host Stewartville for Homecoming on Friday September 24th, with a 7pm kickoff at the Rochester Regional Sports Stadium.
