The Lourdes Football Program won their final regular season game of the 2011 season, on Senior Night, defeating La Crescent 35-34 on Wednesday, October 19th, upping their record to 7-1 on the season. The leading rusher for Lourdes was Sean Griffin with 114 yards on 22 carries.

The scoring started for Lourdes in the first quarter with a 12 yard touchdown run by Sean Griffin. Kane Carstens added a 9 yard touchdown run later in the second quarter. The third quarter opened with another touchdown run by Sean Griffin, this one from 24 yards out. Mark Pagel connected with Sean Griffin in the fourth quarter on a 23 yard touchdown pass.  The scoring rounded out for the game in the fourth quarter with a 8 yard touchdown run by Sean Griffin after a Connor Nellans fumble recovery. Lourdes went up for good after the Griffin touchdown, when Mark Pagel converted on a 2 point conversion with a 3 yard run, to make the score 35-34.

Lourdes will again host La Crescent on Tuesday October 25th, with a 7pm kickoff at the Rochester Regional Sports Stadium, for the first round of Section 1AAA tournament.
